Ley de Participación Estudiantil no sustituye la labor del docente

Palacio de Miraflores, Caracas.- La Ley de Participación Estudiantil en el Subsistema de Educación Básica, promulgada este jueves por el presidente de la República, Nicolás Maduro, “le da más protagonismo a los estudiantes” en el espíritu del carácter inclusivo del sistema educativo venezolano, sin reemplazar de ningún modo la labor de los docentes.

La afirmación corresponde a la vicepresidenta de Ciencia, Tecnología, Educación y Salud, Gabriela Jiménez, quien enfatizó que el instrumento jurídico fortalecerá la política educativa nacional desde las organizaciones de estudiantes.

“Nuestro proceso educativo es inclusivo y, ahora, le da más protagonismo a los estudiantes, no para la sustitución de la labor y el deber del docente, por el contrario, para fortalecer la política educativa nacional desde la calidad, desde la organización estudiantil”, puntualizó desde el Palacio de Miraflores, ubicado en Caracas.

En este sentido, señaló que el ejercicio democrático que se manifestará en las aulas de clases -a partir de la entrada en vigencia de la Ley de Participación Estudiantil en el Subsistema de Educación Básica- garantiza el futuro de la Patria en paz.

“Cuando ocurre el ejercicio de la democracia y nos empoderamos de ella, lo que se manifiesta es la paz, la tolerancia, el reconocimiento del otro y eso es fundamental. Que eso ocurra en las aulas de clases, lo que hace es garantizar el futuro de la Patria en paz”, enfatizó.

Jiménez destacó, igualmente, que en la norma sancionada por la Asamblea Nacional (AN) prevalece “el reconocimiento de nuestra identidad como venezolanos, el reconocimiento de nuestros pueblos indígenas” en el contexto de los principios de no discriminación, igualdad y equidad de género.

Al aseverar que “la reserva estratégica del país son ustedes, niños y niñas”, precisó que en épocas anteriores era impensable que, con respaldo del Presidente de la República, se reafirmara “la participación estudiantil en la toma de decisiones no solo para la práctica democrática como un proceso de apropiación social, sino para profundizar la paz de nuestro pueblo”.

“Yo me imagino, grupos de matemática, de cine foro para que analicemos –desde el cine, el teatro y la poesía- la realidad, para interpretar, inclusive, los tiempos que nos vienen, para imaginarnos la apropiación tecnológica que tenemos que desarrollar en  el país. Es un futuro lleno de luz, es un horizonte que es nuestro porque va a estar en la mano de nuestros jóvenes, niños y niñas”, agregó Jiménez.
